ANSWER:Tikrit, Iraq. Created by Laith al-Amari to commemorate the act of the journalist Muntadhar al-Zeidi, who flung his shoes at George W. Bush. Was removed by the Iraqi Police on Feb 1, 2009 because it was at an orphanage that was government property (which cannot be used for activities with a political bias)

Monument honoring the journalist who threw a shoe at Bush
Does this represent the one thrown at Bush by Zaidi?
This is the sculpture honoring the famous shoe throwing incident involving the journalist Zaidi and George W Bush.
I think this is the replica of the shoes that was thrown at George W Bush by a journalist during his trip to Iraq…hence it’s political connection.

Seems pretty simple..the sculpture commemorates the shoe thrown at Dubya by the Iraqi journalist who is presently in jail..any deeper fundae?
and the shoe must be a replica of the actual shoe thrown..
