This is the filmography of a certain actor who has played the same role of a certain character in all these movies due to his unmistakable resemblance.
Who does he portray? Whose filmography is it?
This is a deep sea fish that may now be endangered due to deep sea trawling. Their flesh is only a little denser than that of water to survive the immense pressure. But this also reduces it to little more than a fugly gelatinous mass when on sea level.
However it has become an ambassador of sorts for endangered animals which are overlooked for those which are more cuter when it became the mascot for the Ugly Animal Preservation Society.
However something happened this month causing it to be so grumpy? What was it and what is this fish called
It was the 1980’s. The American gaming industry was cashing it in. Arcades were everywhere and Atari ruled the roost. However it all went belly side up in 1983. This was due to a lot off reasons- Atari not crediting its designers, bad business strategy, but mainly due to badly made identical games flooding the market with no way of telling which were good. There were landfills in the New Mexico desert where unsold consoles and cartridges were dumped and paved over. Sales went down from 3 billion to 100 million in 3 years. This never risked gaming as a medium as this was uniquely an American phenomenon, but it did kill the American console gaming industry for 2 years.
Then something happened in 1985. A company hitherto unknown in the states released a system that looked like a VCR as the cartridge was loaded through the front, and came with a robot like toy and another one that looked like a gun and a game about an Italian plumber.
And the rest as they is history.
What was this system and why am I asking this question today?
‘Andre the Giant Has a Posse’ is a street art and viral marketing campaign based on a design by A created in 1989. But apparently ‘Andre the Giant’ was trademarked. So A,fearful of a lawsuit decided to use the slogan B for his design which was inspired by the movie C, a cult classic sci-fi film by John Carpenter from the previous year. In it, the protagonist discovers that the world is actually run by aliens hiding in plain sight, but can only be seen through special sunglasses. This ended up in making it even more iconic.
This film also had a certain dialogue which was spoken by that manliest of men hero of the eponymous tetrology of video games. It tends to send mooks clamouring for a certain confectionery.
Give me A,B,C, the dialogue and the video game franchise.
